When you download images from stock photo websites like Unsplash, the images are usually high-resolution images and the file size is something else. If you are a graphic designer, you may not need to compress images as you need them in the sharpest form ever.
However, if you plan on uploading images to your blog or website, you will need high-quality images that have a lower file size. Imagine you upload an image of five megabytes (5MB) to your website, it would take a lot of time for that particular image to open on the page thereby making your website very slow.
Web visitors, customers and Google hate slow websites. Some of the major culprits for making a website slow is either the hosting company you use, the size of images on the website or the internet connection of the user.
In this article, I will show you some tools you can use to compress the quality of any image while preserving the quality to an extent. You don’t have to be a graphic designer to use the tools I am going to mention.
